Ustream

Ustream.T V is the live interactive video broadcast platform that enables anyone with a camera and an Internet connection to quickly and easily broadcast to a global audience of unlimited size. Each day, people use Ustream to broadcast talk shows, concerts, important speakers, sporting events, weddings, special presenters or speakers, and even graduations to anyone anywhere with a high speed internet conecton.

  1. Sharing presentations with parents who might not be able to attend in person.
  2. Letting homebound students participate with class.
  3. Showing and recording student behavior so adminstrator is aware (both positive and negative).
  4. Allows parent’s who can’t normally come to the classroom to see what is going on in school.
  5. Live science demonstrations showing or receiving from others.
  6. Recording and archiving of teaching so students can review it later.
  7. Recording student presentations so parents, grandparent’s, etc. can view it later. (Password features help)
  8. Allowing guests, experts, etc. to come into the classroom from far away. (Platform neutral)
  9. Weekly school (broadcast) for parents.
  10. Nightly broadcast review of the day for students to watch at home.

Garageband! ROCK ON!!! (I’m putting the band back together!)
Duplicate a note--Option and key highlighted

  • Search for a song to use in garage band (Google- song title & midi), control click to copy to disk or desktop, drag from the desktop to your garage band.
  • To create a new track click on: track, new track, software instrument or real instrument, create
  • Check out DETAILS!!! (bottom right)
  • Add your created loop to your list of loops-- edit, add to loop library, choose genre, instrument and mood descriptions, create
  • Find a loop off the internet (freeplaymusic.com or freesound.org) download, control click, download linked file as, as on desktop, drag into garage band (then you can add to your loops- follow above directions)
  • To save memory -- share, export song to disk, export, name it, save to desktop (changes to mp3 icon)-- you will not be able to edit each track b/c it becomes one track to save memory (original will remain a garage band icon)
  • *Export to iTunes -- share, send song to iTunes, fill in descriptions, share (now it is exported out to iTunes) -- you can burn a cd now, bottom right hand corner in a play list
